Land & Sea Environmental Consultants Ltd. is located in Milne House: a Registered Historic Property. The house was first constructed in about 1847 on lands sub-divided by a trust of Christ (Anglican) Church in a section of old Dartmouth called Blockhouse Hill.

The current house is a style commonly called "Halifax Box House". The appearance and layout are typical of many middle-class houses built throughout Halifax and Dartmouth in the 1880-1920 period. The drawing by L. B. Jenson was commissioned by the City of Dartmouth in 1988 as part of a series of pen & ink drawings of historical buildings in the City. The original print is part of a collection at the Dartmouth Heritage Museum.
